If you know me, you know I am a MASSIVE Harry Potter geek. So when I received a “Harry Blogger Tag” notification from the lovely Carlie (from CarliesLife) on Twitter I was straight onto it quicker than you can say Quidditch!
I was 5 years old when the first spell binding book was released into the world, so it took 4 years of listening to my sister describe how amazing it was until I was old enough to read it, never looking back I was officially obsessed with Harry Potter! As an adult you will rarely find me watching anything else on the TV other than a Harry Potter film. My favourite pass time is to play my Harry Potter trivia game whilst wearing my Harry Potter hoodies (Ok, starting to sound weird now, sorry!)
Here it goes!: (I am a little too excited to answer these questions):
1. Who is your favourite character?
So I thought long and hard about this, but I will have to say Severus Snape. Obviously, the twist in the story will have made the most stubborn of people change all of their previous inhibitions regarding Snape, I know it did for me, in fact I still cry each and every time I watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt1 +Pt2. Even more so now after the recent passing of Alan Rickman (who plays Snape in the films)
2. Which is your favourite book?
Errm errm errrrrrm, so difficult! I would say the first, it is so fun, cosy and magical. I loved first reading about all the characters, Dumbledore was exactly how I imagined him. The first book makes me feel nostalgic and homely.
3. Which is your least favourite book?
Well, I have never been able to get past the fact Sirius was killed in front of Harry in Harry Potter & the Half Blood prince, book, so I would say that. I still read/watch that and hope and pray Harry & co. leave the Ministry before things got crazy for them, sigh! I suppose a book with no twists & drama wouldn’t be as good of a read..
4. Which character is most like you?
Hmmm, tough. I would say, a majority of the time, I am mostly Hermione Granger, I am slightly bossy, love to be a nerd, a bit short tempered and I have huge curly/frizzy hair!
5. If you could spend a day as a witch in Hogwarts, what would you do?
Oh goodness, I would do SO much. Firstly I would feast in the great hall, drink galleons of Butter Beer at the Three Broomsticks, fly around on a broomstick, chat with Dumbledore, eat everything from the Trolley and then use a time-turner over and over again to relive the day as many times as I want 😉
6. What is your favourite spell?
I would say, Expelliarmus!
7. Is there anything you would change about the plot?
Nooooo! I couldn’t. Maybe I would change the fact that Dobbie and Hedwig dies because I find that utterly heartbreaking, but otherwise, its perf!
8. Where were you when you started reading The Philosophers Stone for the first time?
I was at my home at the time, reading it at the same time as my sister reading one of the later books! I also remember listening to the audio cassette tapes of Stephen Fry reading it.. I think that was my first encounter.
9. Cho was Harry’s first kiss, who would your first kiss be at Hogwarts?
Hehe, maybe Cedric Diggory, he was pretty handsome!
10. Finally, is there anyone in reality you’d love to cast a slug puking spell on?
Ughhhh slugs make me feel really sick so the thought of this question is making me a little queezy! But, if I had to choose someone, it would be the infamous Donald Trump. I mean, what better way to shush a crazed man is there than the puking slugs spell!
I have left a few pictures below that I took whilst visiting Harry Potter world in Universal Orlando in 2014 (very poor photos from my old iPhone, soz!) I will actually be re-visiting this year in October when in Orlando so will be sure to do a professional style blog post on it..
I tag anyone who reads this and wants to take part, let me know if you do! X
